IDIS-1 Tognue Interlock Switches

IDEM IDIS-1 Compact Safety Interlock Switches are designed to provide position interlock detection for small moving guards.

The IDEM IDIS-1 is designed to fit to the leading edge of sliding, hinged or lift off machine guards.

The rugged Stainless Steel actuator is designed to match a cam mechanism to provide a positively operated not easily defeatable interlock mechanism.

The compact body, 22mm fixing profile and rotatable head make them easy to install where space is restricted. A Plastic Flexible Actuator is available for tight radius guards.

Contact blocks are replaceable with optional slow or snap break operation.

IDIS-1 Application

IDIS-1 Tongue (Key) Interlock Switches are designed to be mounted for interlock position sensing of hi nged moving guards.

They can be fitted to the leading edge of sliding, hinged or lift off guards.

They have positive opening contacts in accordance w ith IEC 60947-5-1 and the switch design offers a tamper resistant actuator key. They are available with either an angled or flat actuator fixing to cover most fixing positions and contact blocks are available in slow make/break 2NC 1NO, 3NC or 1NC 1NO snap action. Enclosures are protected to IP67.

IDIS-1 Operation

Operation of the switches is achieved by withdrawin g the actuator key from the switch to cause deflect ion of the switch plunger.

Positive actuation of the contacts is achieved at 5 mm withdrawal of the actuator.
